The things I remember about the April - May Euro tour
by Michael Hannon

April 20 - May 15, 2005

We started out the tour in Germany, flying into Frankfurt, our tour partners for the German leg of the tour are the "V-8 Wankers" who we've done shows with last August while we were with Rose Tattoo, they're a very loud obnoxious bunch of alcohol fueled crazies, I quite like 'em.

The first show was in Bamberg at the Bats M.C. Clubhouse, it was so fuckin' Loud that pieces of the ceiling were continiousally falling all over the stage. Then it was on to Ulm, Stuttgart and Koln where they make a special type of Beer, which I think was called Kolsch, but I'm a little fuzzy on it by now.

It was then onto Munster where we met with Jorg from Sleeze-Metal.com, the next night was Berlin, then to Osnabruck and then Lubeck, home of the German Dogs! the show in Lubeck had been moved 3 times! The original venue is called the Angus Club, which is where we played last time, but one asshole neighbor had been complaining about the loud noise so the city counsel have stopped them from having concerts for now..........anyway we still had a good time hangin with our friends from the Angus and of course the German Dogs,...Prost!

Next was Gluckstadt and then Hamburg at the Headbangers Ballroom on the Reeperbaum , where "Hey Man" got pulled over by the cops for going the wrong way on a one way street at 3 in the morning.

We said our goodbye's to the Wankers and flew to Birmingham England the next day for a show with Skinny Molly, who have in their midst our old friends Dave Hlubeck and Mike Estes........

The next day we fly back to Frankfurt where "Hey Man" picks us up at the airport and our first day off ,which for a change of pace we drank all day, and then went out to eat with Elke, who is the Wankers manager, we had a bar tab that night of $320.00!!

Next were 2 more German shows on our own in Horb and Bestwig, Next up is our home away from home, the almighty "Spirit of 66" in Vierviers, Belgium with the host with the most Mr. Francis!!, and tons of great friends.

Then it's off to France to start the leg of the tour with Crucified Barbara, The Barbara's are a great band who are also very cool to hang out with, and their looks don't hurt at all, We started in Chalindrey and Compiegne then we went seperate ways. We had radio the next afternoon at Radio 2, where we performed "Workin' Man" and Belched on the air! then off to Le Plan, which is in Ris Orangis (a suburb of Paris) on Rory Gallagher Boulevard!!!

The next French show was in Clermont-Ferrand where we meet up with more good friends, and then finally our second  day off, with which the Barbaras and Dogs decide to go out Drinking (Surprise!), we went to this little bar that sold GIANT beers, in what looked like Bongs, they were about 5 feet tall! We drank 3 of 'em at $25.00 each and then left to find the Barbaras truck had been broken into, some asshole broke out their Passenger side window to steal 3 cd's!! which really ruined the buzz, Which in turn made everybody have to get up extra early so we could find a shop to replace the window, then it was off to Salon de Provence and Mulhouse where we said our goodbye's to the Barbara's , they went on to Sweden to do a video show and we went up to Gent Belgium for the last show of the tour, which was a really cool place with the best music playing we'd heard on the entire tour.

It was for the most part a very enjoyable tour.

Our special thanks go out to the V-8 Wankers, Crucified Barbara, Tom Hallek, Eric Coubard, Dominique #1 and #2, Baz, Hey Man, Worst Devil, Lee Rocker, Za Blue, Cattoo, Maik and the German Dogs, Moto Sud,...........ah hell you guys know who you are If I forgot yer name excuse me, I'm still a bit Crispy...and a bit depressed about it being over.

"Hey Man", Steve, Sam and Michael with an invisible Beer!

This is the Inside of the Berlin Pussy-Lovers Car, which is an old police car decorated very tastefully! The club this night,(called the Rainbow), had a double decker bus as a dressing room.
